DIDSBURY - The Mountain View Colts dropped two games over the weekend, dropping the team into second place in the Heritage Junior B Hockey League north division.
The Didsbury-based Colts travelled to Rocky Mountain House to face the Ram on Friday.
The Colts got goals from Steven Bell, his 18th of the season, and from Hayden Sotheran, his ninth of the season, with assists from captain Paton Rothenbusch and Bell. In the end the Rams got four goals from Reid Christiansen and lost 6-2.
Colts netminders Zachary Larson and Chance Griffith combined to stop 27 shots in the loss.
The Colts hosted the Airdrie Techmation Thunder at the Didsbury Memorial Complex on Saturday.
The Colts got Treydon Brien (assist Jay Heistad), Jordan Saunders (assists Nate McNeely and Ryley Lodermeier), Carter Layden (assist Saunders) and Heistad (assist Aidan Saunders and McNeely) in the 7-4 loss.
Colts netminder Griffith stopped 43 of 49 shots.
The Colts play a make-up game against the Strathmore Wheatland Kings in Strathmore on Tuesday, followed by a game against the Rams in Rocky Mountain House on Friday.
Sylvan Lake is currently in first place in the north division, four points ahead of the Colts.
