DIDSBURY - The Mountain View Colts are on the road this weekend.
Tonight, Feb. 10, the Didsbury team plays in Sylvan Lake and then Saturday's game is in Medicine Hat against the Cubs.
The team beat the Rocky Rams 5-1 at the Didsbury Memorial Complex on Saturday, Feb. 4 a day after beating the Red Deer Vipers.
Last weekend saw Colts’ first-string goal Chance Griffith stop 53 of 56 shots sent his way.
Saturday’s game saw the Colts get goals from Carter Hewitt (assist Aidan Saunders), Logan Richards (assist Haiden Parks), Simon Leischner (assist Ryan Bauer), Steven Bell, and Parks (assists Ryley Lodermeier and Trey Stovin).
Colts netminder Griffith stopped 31 of 32 shots for the win in that game.
On Friday, Feb. 3, the Colts hosted the Red Deer Vipers, coming away with a 4-2 win. The locals got goals from Treydon Brien (assists Bauer and Corbin Rae), Parks, and Corson Waiting (assists Parks and Richards).
Griffith got the win in net, stopping 42 of 44 shots.
The Colts were scheduled to host the Vipers on Feb. 6.
The Colts are in third place in the north division with 42 points, four behind Airdrie and nine behind first place Sylvan Lake.
