DIDSBURY - The Mountain View Colts’ four-game winning streak came to an end Friday with a hard-fought loss to the Sylvan Lake Wranglers.
The team then got back in the winning column with a win against the Three Hills Thrashers on Saturday.
The weekend games leave the Colts with a 5-3 record in Heritage Junior B Hockey League 2021-22 standings.
On Friday, the Colts got goals from Logan Richards, Nate McNeely and Austin Corsiatto. Issac Klassen made 22 saves in the 4-3 Colts loss.
On Saturday the Colts defeated Three Hills 7-3, getting goals from Carter Layden, Sam Kolke, Nate McNeely, Laine Rothenbusch, Austin Corsiatto, Andrew Chapman and Jordan Saunders. Chance Griffith got the win, stopping 29 of 32 shots.
Laine Bothenbusch leads the Colts in scoring with 16 points so far this season, followed by Corsiatto with 12, and Jordan Saunders and Lucas Mulholland with eight each.
The Colts continue their three-game road trip this Friday against the Generals in Cochrane.
The Colts are home at the Didsbury Memorial Complex against Sylvan Lake on Oct. 20.
