DIDSBURY - The Mountainview Colts are in Airdrie for a game against the Thunder on Friday, followed by a ‘home’ game at the Innisfail Arena on Saturday against the Three Hills Thrashers.
The Colts are currently in third place in the league’s north division, 21 points behind first-place Sylvan Lake Wranglers and one point behind the Red Deer Vipers.
The Mountainview Colts came up short in the team's last game on the road against the Cannex Cochrane Generals on Friday.
Played at the Spray Lakes Totem arena, the game saw the Colts get goals from Mitchell McDermid (assists Tristan Visser and Blake Stoddard), Corbin Rae (assists Tanner Austin and Kai Biggin), Haiden Parks (assist Zachary Wheatley and Rhett Miller) and Wheatley (assist Miller) in 6-4 loss.
Colts netminder Nicholas Smith stopped 17 of the 22 shots he faced.
The Colts are currently playing their Heritage Junior B Hockey League home games at arenas outside Didsbury due to a failed condenser at the Didsbury Memorial Complex ( DMC).
The Colts are expected to be back at the Memorial Complex on or before Feb. 1 as a rental condenser is expected to be installed by then.
