DIDSBURY - The Mountainview Colts go into this weekend's games having recently won back-to-back games for the first time in the 2024-25 Heritage Junior B Hockey League season.
The Didsbury-based team is in Coaldale Saturday, Nov. 2 followed by a game in Medicine Hat on Sunday, Nov. 3.
The Colts hosted the Rocky Mountain House Rams at the Didsbury Memorial Complex last Friday.
The locals got a first period goal from Ryder Hammer (assist Blake Stoddard), and two goals in the third, from Haiden Parks (assist Konnor Poitras) and Simon Leischner, for a 3-0 win.
Colts netminder Nicholas Smith stopped all 30 shots he faced.
The following day, the Colts hosted south division rivals High River Flyers.
The Colts got goals from Parks, Jay Heistad (assist Kai Biggin), and an overtime winner from Aidan Saunders (assist Leischner) for a 3-2 win.
Colts netminder Smith stopped 26 of 28 shots for the win.
In the north division, the Colts are currently in fourth place with 10 point, with Sylvan Lake in first with 18 points.
