DIDSBURY - The Mountainview Colts host the Vipers at the Three Hills arena on Friday, followed by a Saturday night matchup against the Rocky Rams at the Cremona Ag Society Community Arena.
The Colts are currently in second place in the north division with 36 points, one ahead of the Vipers. The Sylvan Lake Wranglers are in first in the north division, with 61 points.
In the Didsbury team's most recent action, the Colts split two games last weekend against Ponoka and Red Deer.
On Friday, Jan. 24, the Colts hosted the Ponoka Stampeders at the Three Hills Centennial Place Arena, coming away with an 8-3 win.
The Colts got goals from Tristan Visser (assist Haiden Parks), Rhett Miller (assist Hunter Sellers), Seller (assist Ryder Hammer), Miller (assist Tanner Austin), Sellers (assist Miller and Aidan Saunders), Sellers (assist Zachary Wheatley), Saunders (assists Miller and Sellers) and Saunders (assist Cohen Richardson and Konnor Poitras).
Colts netminder Jordan McGinnis stopped 25 of 28 shots for the win.
On Saturday, Jan. 25, the Colts visited the Red Deer Vipers at the Servus Arena.
The Colts got goals from Tanner Austin (assist Wheatley), Blake Stoddard (assist Saunders), and two from Konnor Poitras (one unassisted and one assisted by Wheatley) in a 5-4 loss.
Colts netminders Jordan McGinnis and Nicholas Smith stopped at total of 21 of 26 shots.
