Town of Didsbury recognizes longtime military service

DIDSBURY - Town council has officially recognized the longtime military service of a local man.

Captain Keith M.H. Hickling has served more than 30 years in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve as a Cadet Instructor Cadre officer with the Cadet Organization Administration and Training Service.

During his career he has served with the 3043 and 2749 Royal Canadian Cadet Corps located in the Northwest Territories before serving the last six years with the 3025 Didsbury RCACC.

Council passed a motion Feb. 9 to have a letter of recognition and appreciation to Hickling prepared on behalf of the municipality and signed by the mayor, Rhonda Hunter.
