Update: RCMP no longer looking for missing Red Deer girl

13-year-old was believed to have been in Edmonton, Didsbury or Stettler areas

Red Deer RCMP is no longer asking for the public’s help to find a missing 13-year-old who police said could have been in several Alberta locations including Didsbury.

In an update issued Friday, police said the teen was located safe.

“Red Deer RCMP would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance,” police said in the Feb. 28 update.

The teen was last seen in Red Deer on Wednesday, Feb. 26, police said.

She was believed to be in the areas of Edmonton, Didsbury or Stettler, police said in a press release issued Thursday.

Anyone with information about the teen’s whereabouts was asked to call Red Deer RCMP at 403-406-2200.
