The Didsbury & District Chamber of Commerce is a community-based volunteer business organization.
Membership is available to an business or individual and we are pleased to have members both from with in the Town of Didsbury as well as many from the district surrounding Didsbury.
Founded in 1962 by a group of strong entrepreneurs who envisioned that through working together, our business community would strengthen and grow into the future, here we are 60 years later with a strong and vibrant business core that continues to grow even in the sometimes-challenging economic environment.
The Didsbury & District Chamber of Commerce is governed by an elected Board of 9 members who are all volunteers from different businesses, organizations, and professions. They put in hundreds of hours working on projects to promote and support business in Didsbury. There are also many committee members who support the Board and we could not do it all without them.
If you are interested, we are always looking for more volunteers to assist in our many endeavors. To further support our members, the Didsbury & District Chamber of Commerce is a member of the Alberta Chamber as well as the Canadian Chamber giving advantages to our members that non-members do not receive, such as lower rates on credit and debit card transactions, and health insurance.
On behalf of our members, we continue with ventures that support economic development initiatives, like Shop Local First and Country Christmas, to name a couple of opprotunities. We celebrate our business's success with events like the Small Business Week and the Annual Didsbury Business Awards.
Our General Meetings, offer an opportunity for great networking, special speakers, and input into the activities of your organization. We also support our members through Social Media and our new website, please have a look.
