WINNIPEG — Police say two health-care aides have been charged with assault after an investigation into a personal care home in Winnipeg.
Police received a report of abuse of residents at the personal care home in the Sturgeon Heights neighbourhood in June.
They say two health-care aides used inappropriate force while performing their daily duties to gain the compliance of five older residents.
Police say the assaults allegedly took place between August 2021 and January 2022.
They say none of the victims needed medical treatment.
A 49-year-old woman is facing three assault charges and a 36-year-old woman is facing two assault charges.
