Health officials report another COVID-19-related death in Prince Edward Island

CHARLOTTETOWN — Health officials in Prince Edward Island are reporting another COVID-19-related death. The death of a person over the age of 80 is the 46th such death in the province since the start of the pandemic.

The death of a person over the age of 80 is the 46th such death in the province since the start of the pandemic.

There have been 1,270 new cases of COVID-19 in the province over the past seven days, or an average of about 182 cases per day.

There are currently 19 people in hospital with COVID-19.

Officials are monitoring outbreaks at four long-term and community care facilities.

There is also an outbreak at the Souris Hospital.
