Man facing charges after ambulance stolen in Saskatoon, police say

SASKATOON — A man is facing charges after police say he tried to steal an ambulance in Saskatoon.

SASKATOON — A man is facing charges after police say he tried to steal an ambulance in Saskatoon.

Police say paramedics with Medavie Health Services West were attending to a patient beside the emergency vehicle Tuesday night when a man climbed behind the wheel.

They say he ran over the foot of one of the paramedics when he drove away.

Saskatoon police say bystanders were able to stop the ambulance.

A suspect was arrested a short distance away.

Police say 45-year-old man is charged with theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
