Olympic champion Canada takes on Jamaica in a two-legged playoff to determine who will join the U.S. in representing CONCACAF at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Jamaica hosts Canada on Friday with the second leg on Tuesday at Toronto's BMO Field.

Here are the rules that will help determine the outcome of the series:

— The team having scored most goals over the two games qualifies for the 2024 women’s Olympic football tournament.

— If both teams score the same number of goals over the two matches, the team with the most away goals will qualify.

— If the same number of goals is scored away or if both matches end without any goals being scored, extra time of two periods of 15 minutes each shall be played at the end of the second match. Away goals will not count as a tiebreaker in extra time. If there is a tie or no goals are scored in extra time, a penalty shootout will decide the outcome of the series.
