Spizzirri scores as Cape Breton tops Montreal 1-0 in U Sports men's soccer final

SYDNEY, N.S. — Jacob Spizzirri's first-half goal stood up as the winner as Cape Breton defeated Montreal 1-0 on Sunday in the U Sports men's soccer final. Daniel Clarke had six saves for the shutout.

SYDNEY, N.S. — Jacob Spizzirri's first-half goal stood up as the winner as Cape Breton defeated Montreal 1-0 on Sunday in the U Sports men's soccer final.

Daniel Clarke had six saves for the shutout. 

UBC defeated Mount Royal 1-0 in the bronze-medal game.

In the women's final, Katalin Tolnai scored in the second extra session to give UBC a 1-0 victory over Trinity Western. Dakota Beckett made 12 stops for the clean sheet. 

Laval edged Montreal 1-0 for the bronze medal.
