Teen dead after stabbing in Manitoba First Nation, another teen and adult charged

NORWAY HOUSE CREE NATION — A teen has died after RCMP responded to reports of a stabbing in a northern Manitoba First Nation. 

Mounties say officers in Norway House Cree Nation found a 15-year-old boy with injuries at a home early Saturday. 

The teen was sent to the local hospital, where he died.

Officers with major crime services and forensics were sent to the community. 

Police have charged two community members, Cody Jeffrey Monias, 38, and a 14-year-old boy, with second-degree murder. 

Both remain in custody and RCMP continue to investigate.
