Teen facing multiple charges, including assaulting a peace officer with a weapon

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Multiple charges have been laid following what police in Prince Albert, Sask. say was an attack involving bear spray. Police were called to 2800 block of 6th Avenue East shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Multiple charges have been laid following what police in Prince Albert, Sask. say was an attack involving bear spray.

Police were called to 2800 block of 6th Avenue East shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.

When officers arrived, they found a male suspect accused of spraying a group of people with a can of a chemical used to deter charging bears. 

Police allege when the 15-year-old suspect was challenged, he aimed the spray at a peace officer and tried to run from the scene.

The suspect was apprehended by police and is facing multiple charges, including causing mischief, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
