A 28 year old Innisfail man is facing charges related to a break and enter at a Red Deer grocery store on the weekend.
At approximately 3:11 a.m. on Feb. 5, Red Deer City RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter in progress at the West Park Foods located in the 3700 block of 57 Avenue in Red Deer.
A witness called police after observing two people enter the business which was under renovations at the time of the incident.
Police attended and said they located a vehicle leaving the scene.
When police stopped the vehicle, two male and one female suspect fled on foot.
The female was caught near the vehicle. One male was located after a short foot chase.
The second male was not located however police do know the identity and are currently seeking a warrant for his arrest.
As of press time yesterday, RCMP say the 28 year old male of Innisfail will be facing numerous charges including possession of break-in instruments, possession of property obtained by crime (less than $5,000) and breaking and entering to a business.
The male, who cannot be named until an Information is sworn, was released from custody and is set to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on April 4.
A 29 year old female of Red Deer is also being charged in the incident. She will be facing one count of possession of break-in instruments, one count of possession of property obtained by crime (less than $5,000, and one count of breaking and entering to a business.
The female suspect, who cannot be named until an Information is sworn, was released from custody and is set to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on April 4.
