Red Deer-Mountain View Member of Parliament Earl Dreeshen has made his first address in Parliament since being re-elected in September, saying agriculture remains a key part of Canada’s economy.
Speaking in the House of Commons today (Dec. 2), Dreeshen said two recent national events held in his constituency – the Agri-Trade Equipment Expo conference and the 47th annual Canadian Finals Rodeo – helped promote and support the vital agriculture industry.
“Agriculture is the backbone of our nation’s economy and events such as these foster the grassroots relationship that connects us to the legacy of Alberta farmers who put food on our tables and preserve our environment,” said Dreeshen.
“I am so proud to be part of a community that is a global leader in food safety and innovation.”
