Innisfail and area residents will have plenty to see and enjoy during the annual Innisfail and District Trade Show.
The event is presented by the Innisfail & District Chamber of Commerce and takes place April 22 and 23 at the Innisfail Arena.
“The purpose of the trade show is to showcase the businesses in the area,” said Carla Gabert, chamber manager. “This year we have 30 new (vendors) and we have space for over 90 booths.
“There's lots of new products for people to come out and see,” she added.
The trade show will feature a variety of businesses, community groups and organizations that provide an array of products and services.
“We have everything from landscaping ideas to community service groups, financial groups, real estate, home builders, holistic health options as well as sporting equipment,” said Gabert. “There really is something for everyone through all different age groups.”
There will also be a concession stand and a children's area for families to enjoy.
“In our children's area we will have a couple of bounce houses and we will have a penny carnival going on,” explained Gabert, noting that in addition, FortisAlberta has sponsored a barbecue Friday night and Servus Credit Union will be running a pancake breakfast Saturday morning.
“There are free things for people to come out to see and do. There is no admission fee for the trade show,” said Gabert. “Whether you have an hour or the whole day, come on out and check out the Innisfail and District Trade Show.”
The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. on the evening of April 22 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 23.
Gabert said the annual event is a great benefit for the local community and helps share important information with Innisfail and area residents.
“It lets people know what services and products are available,” said Gabert, noting the big numbers at previous trade shows. “Last year's trade show was very well attended.”
