Town of Bowden CAO Lori Conkin will be moving on to Three Hills to work as the town’s director of finance.
Mayor Robb Stuart announced Conkin’s departure in the town’s December newsletter.
“It was with regret that town council accepted her resignation,” he said.
Conkin had been the town’s CAO for the past five years.
Planning and development services manager Andy Weiss will act as the town’s interim CAO.
“Andy has previous CAO experience and has an excellent knowledge of the town,” said Stuart.
“We expect a very smooth transition.”
Town administration and council will start looking for a new CAO in 2012.
Meanwhile, Conkin will start her new duties in Three Hills on Dec.1.
“The hiring committee felt that she fit the bill,” said Tim Shearlaw, mayor of Three Hills.
