Several Town of Bowden officials will be attending the next seminar from Brownlee LLP on emerging trends and issues in municipal government.
The seminar will be taking place Feb. 2, 2012 in Calgary and Feb. 9 in Edmonton. Topics discussed will include challenges municipalities face in redevelopment and human resources, handling social media and intermunicipal infrastructure projects and operations.
Mayor Robb Stuart, two councillors, Lori Conkin, the chief administrative officer and Ben Malek, the town’s manager of public facilities, will be attending the session.
“They usually have a wide assortment of (issues for discussion). Municipalities from all over Alberta attend,” Stuart said.
