INNISFAIL - Providing top quality care to animals of all shapes and sizes has earned Innisfail Veterinary Services the Business of the Year Award at the 2016 Community and Business Awards Gala.

“It's an honour to win. We're building on a foundation that's been there (for years),” said Dr. Rob DeHaan. “We try to serve people the way we want to be treated and I guess people appreciate it.”

Innisfail Veterinary Services has served the town and area for more than 50 years and currently employs three veterinarians – Dr. Rob DeHaan, Dr. Michael Scheck and Dr. Andrew Ritson-Bennett, along with other dedicated staff.

“We're certainly very proud (of the award). People recognize the care we give to the animals but at the same time it's pretty easy when we get to work with animals every day,” said Ritson-Bennett. “When you get to work on dogs, cats, cattle and horses, it's easy to do.”

The practice provides medical, diagnostic and surgical (including dental) facilities for pets and companion animals, horses, cattle (both beef and dairy), as well as for other large animals.

“We love to work with animals and also with the people in a small-town community. It's great,” said Dr. DeHaan.
