INNISFAIL – When running a business, customer service can make all the difference.

It was quality customer service that earned Randy and Michelle Lorenz, owners of Innisfail Storage, the Customer Service of the Year Award during the Community and Business Awards Gala on Oct. 12.

“It really makes all the work for the last 18 years worthwhile when you’re recognized by the business community of Innisfail,” said Randy Lorenz. “It’s very special.”

Innisfail Storage began in 2001 and has seen steady and consistent growth in the community over the years, and has committed itself to use local contractors and suppliers for its ongoing expansion.

“It means a lot. We never thought this business would grow like it did,” he added. “We started out our first year with six storage units and 20 stalls for RVs and that’s it. It’s been slow and steady growth the whole time and it’s turned into what it is.”

It’s the first time Innisfail Storage has been recognized for its customer service.

Today they have close to 700 units and cover 20 acres of space.

In addition to providing Innisfail with a necessary service, the company has provided full- and part-time employment for individuals and many local contractors.

They have also contributed financial support to the Innisfail Eagles and Innisfail Minor Hockey Association, and provided storage at reduced rates for the Innisfail Christmas Bureau and the Innisfail Triathlon Committee.

“I think we just work hard at making the customers feel happy,” said Michelle Lorenz. “Providing the best service that we can and providing a safe environment for all their storage goods and needs.”
