INNISFAIL – Town crews are back to clearing away snow from residential streets Tuesday.
Earlier today the Town of Innisfail posted on social media that due to equipment failure snow removal on scheduled routes for March 5 and 6 would be delayed.
However, the town advised the Albertan on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 5 that the equipment has been repaired and crews are continuing with snow removal.
A town spokesperson said crews will continue to work for the rest of the day and release an updated snow removal schedule at the end of the shift.
The following routes will be cleared today or later this week:
• 49th Ave. from 42nd Street to 42nd Ave.;
• 50th Ave. from 48th Street to 39th Street;
• 51st Ave. from 48th Street to 40th Street;
• 41st Street Close;
• 40th Street from 49th Ave. to 52nd Ave.; and
• 42nd Street from 54th Ave. to 42nd Ave.
The spokesperson said when snow clearing is in operation street parking will be affected while work is taking place. The town is asking residents to make alternate plans if signs are up.
Residents are also being reminded to pass equipment on the right-hand side during snow removal and follow posted signage to allow town crews to work unobstructed as it reduces the risk of accidents.
