INNISFAIL – RCMP is seeking public help to determine if gunshot victims were injured during a weekend morning shooting incident near downtown.

In a news release issued today, RCMP said the incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. on March 27.

Witnesses report that a small grey car and a white F-250 were stopped facing southbound at the intersection of 44th Avenue and 50th Street when an occupant in the car fired shots into the F-250, said RCMP Cpl. Gina Slaney.

She said after the shots were fired both vehicles fled the scene and headed east towards Highway 2.

At this time, it’s unknown if anyone was injured, said Slaney.
