INNISFAIL- Scores of Innisfailians took the time this week to find out more about upcoming spring and summer activities in the community.
The Town of Innisfail hosted its annual Spring Registration & Information Night on Tuesday, March 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104.
Ken Kowalchuk, manager of communications and marketing for the Town of Innisfail, said 44 different community service groups - representing arts, culture, social services, athletics and sports – participated in the event.
The Town of Innisfail also showcased what they have to offer citizens for the spring and summer.
“In the last few years they (spring and fall registrations) have become very popular amongst the community groups who are representing at the event. We have a lot of participation from the community,” said Kowalchuk.
“I can tell you that attendance was comparable to previous years. We're seeing consistently a steady flow of traffic, consistent numbers from year to year.
“For those seasonal activities it gives a chance for the community to get registered to make contact with those groups, especially the athletic groups."
