Innisfail RCMP arrest four after series of thefts

All four accused, including two Innisfail residents, released by justice of the peace and will appear in court in February

INNISFAIL – Two Innisfailians and a pair of Red Deer residents have been nabbed by Innisfail RCMP in connection to a series of thefts in town over a period of almost two weeks.

RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff said in media release issued Tuesday that between Jan. 8 and Jan. 20 Innisfail RCMP responded to several break and enters in Innisfail that included a garage, travel trailer and truck where numerous tools were stolen.

“Based on information obtained, investigators believe that the crimes were linked,” said Savinkoff.

He said on Jan. 26 Innisfail RCMP executed a search warrant at 49A Avenue in Innisfail and searched for property stolen during those crimes.

Savinkoff said during the execution of the search warrant, RCMP recovered a large number of stolen tools from the break and enters, as well as other property that included electronics and a stolen BMW vehicle.

Randy Soule, 41, and Cheyanne Partridge, 31, both residents of Red Deer, have been charged with:

• traffic in property obtained by crime;

• possession of stolen property.
 
Savinkoff said both were taken before a justice of the peace and released with their next court date set for Feb. 13 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.

 As well, Jesse Burgoyne, 34, and Kristy Watt, 35, both residents of Innisfail, have been charged with:

• possession of stolen property;

•  possession of stolen identity documents.

Savinkoff said both were taken before a justice of the peace and released with their next court date set for Feb. 20 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
