INNISFAIL – Local Mounties are inviting Innisfail and area citizens to add their input at a town hall meeting on July 3.
The public gathering, a collaboration between the Innisfail RCMP and the Town of Innisfail, is being held at the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104, beginning at 6 p.m.
“The Innisfail RCMP are excited to extend an invitation to the community for the upcoming town hall,” said Innisfail RCMP Staff Sgt. Ian Ihme, the detachment commander, in a media release.
“Town halls have been an excellent way of not only sharing our information with the community but also receiving that firsthand feedback from the community.
“The Innisfail RCMP is committed to citizen engagement and in forming strong partnerships with the community.”
Ihme said the town hall on July 3 will have presentations on the following community safety topics:
• RCMP priorities and crime statistics;
• Community Peace Officer program and Innisfail fire service;
• Update on the new regional victim services model, and
• Innisfail Policing and Safe Community Committee.
Ihme said the town hall will also have an open mic for citizens to ask questions about any of these program areas.
