INNISFAIL – Authorities are looking for a passenger vehicle that might have been involved in an early-May collision that left one male youth suffering from “significant injuries.”

Alongside members of the Innisfail Fire Department, Mounties responded at about 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2 to a report of a single vehicle collision of a dirt bike in a ditch that had occurred at Range Road 274 and Township Road 362 northeast of Innisfail in Red Deer County.

A male youth who was found at the scene with “significant injuries” was subsequently “transported to hospital where he is recovering and receiving treatment,” reads part of an RCMP press release issued today – Tuesday, May 23.

Since the May 2 crash, police reportedly received additional information indicating the possible presence of a passenger vehicle that had also been involved in the collision, and that the crash might have happened the previous night on May 1 at about 9:30 p.m.

Police are looking to speak with anybody who was in the area of the collision at that time or who might have any residential or vehicle video of that location.

No description of the passenger vehicle was provided.
