Innisfail RCMP investigate possible abduction

Mounties release images a grey, four-door Audi sedan last seen driving out of Innisfail yesterday in connection with a police investigation of a possible abduction

INNISFAIL - Police are asking for the public’s assistance as they investigate a report of a possible abduction in Innisfail yesterday.

On the evening of Friday, Oct. 28, Innisfail RCMP publicly released surveillance images of a grey, four-door Audi sedan last seen driving out of town.

Surveillance images of the vehicle have been collected and are being released in hopes that the public can help identify the vehicle and/or the occupants, according to police.

Earlier in the day at 4:08 p.m., Innisfail RCMP responded to a report of a possible abduction at the intersection of 49th Street and 50th Avenue in Innisfail.

"Witnesses reported that they had seen a female try to get out of the passenger side door of a vehicle and the female was screaming. The vehicle drove away without allowing the female to exit and she was pulled back inside the car by a male driver," the release stated.

The vehicle was last seen driving out of town, westbound on 49th Street.
