Innisfail RCMP lay charges in waste transfer station break-in

INNISFAIL - Innisfail RCMP has charged two suspects from Red Deer after a waste transfer site in Red Deer County was broken into last week.

On Oct. 12 at approximately 3 a.m., Innisfail RCMP were conducting proactive patrols near the Horn Hill Transfer station.

According to a press release issued today, RCMP members located an unoccupied suspicious vehicle near the station.

"RCMP were able to observe two suspects had broken into the compound and were removing property. The two suspects identified as 58-year-old and 36-year-old male residents of Red Deer were immediately taken into custody," police said in the Oct. 16 release.

Both suspects are being charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000 and possession of break and enter tools.

Police said both suspects have been released from custody to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on Dec. 13.
