Innisfail RCMP probe pharmacy robbery in Penhold

PENHOLD – Innisfail RCMP are seeking the public’s help to locate two robbers who held up a Penhold drug store during the afternoon of April 1.

RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff said in an April 1 media release that Innisfail Mounties received a report of a robbery at 3:51 p.m. at the Pharmasave in Penhold.

Savinkoff two suspects entered the store and demanded narcotics from the pharmacy. He said it is not known if the suspects were armed.

“While Innisfail RCMP continue the investigation, we are requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspects and vehicle,” said Savinkoff.

He said the suspects are described as dark complexion, short stature, dressed in all-black clothing including balaclavas.

Savinkoff said the suspects were seen driving a vehicle described as a Hyundai Accent, mid-2000s vehicle, silver in colour and with a damaged rear right bumper that was falling off.
