INNISFAIL – The local RCMP is seeking public assistance to find the person responsible for trying to sell stolen watches in connection to an Oct. 19 burglary at Ingham and Son Jewellers Ltd.
In a news release from RCMP issued on Nov. 19, Mounties confirmed they were investigating the jewellery story break-in on Main Street. The burglary caused more than $20,000 in damages and stolen property losses. Those losses included the theft of $14,000 worth of Citizen and Harley Davidson watches.
RCMP Cpl. Laurel Scott said in her news release that Innisfail RCMP responded to the break-in at 4:25 a.m. on Oct. 19, and that “indications” were than an unknown suspect broke a front window and stole watches from a display case.
Scott said 47 Citizen and two Harley Davidson watches were stolen.
She said Innisfail RCMP are seeking information from anyone who is aware of persons trying to sell or pawn Citizen watches.
