If you could change things in our world by simply making a wish, would you make them, or would you let the world be how it is today?
I know that if I could I would choose to make the three wishes, if I thought it would benefit our world.
My first wish would be to let people choose what they want to, without judgment. Today, we could have more entrepreneurs, businessmen, astronauts and doctors if our parents, or the people we trusted would let us go to college to be whatever we wanted, regardless of money.
If people stopped judging people on how they dress, how much makeup they have on, their skin colour, or how skinny or muscular they are, we would all be happier with more love towards others, and we wouldn't look down on people, like we do today.
My second wish would be to end world poverty. Poverty is an extreme and sickening idea that is still appearing in many countries around the world.
If people had shelter, food and warmth, regardless of where they lived, a lot of problems such as hunger and hypothermia, as well as diseases, would be avoided.
We are so fortunate to live in a country like Canada. We have everything that we need, and if we don't, we have the resources to get those necessities.
It's sickening that everyone wants more money, and complains if they got the wrong model of phone, where on the other side of the world, people are starving because they haven't eaten in weeks.
My third and final wish would be to end pollution. As humans we have taken so much from the earth -- food, resources, minerals and so much more, and what do we give back? Pollution.
We pollute with plastic and gases and our world is suffering because of it. If we could stop polluting, or at least reduce our impact on the planet, we would have a better world.
But this is a perfect and idealist world. Maybe if we all work together, we can do it.
We all make mistakes, but if we all acknowledge these mistakes, then maybe we can all help each other, with those mistakes to finally get an end to these problems, and so many more.
