Four old college buddies from business school will be reunited in the upcoming Innisfail Town Theatre (ITT) production of The Foursome.
The long lost friends have at least 20 years of catching up to do over a round of golf and the men hold nothing back in their reminiscing of the college days and their life since then.
The whole play takes place on the golf course and only features four cast members; although the play sounds simple the it will be quite entertaining, said Karlene Duffy, who along with Mary Cook is directing the play.
“The whole premise is them catching up and playing golf but it is quite funny,” said Duffy.
The performance will feature one new actor to ITT who has even begun to challenge the others by being the first to go off of books in rehearsals, said Duffy.
Glen Carritt will make his debut as one of the four college friends and will be accompanied by Mark Kemball, Dave Kinsella, Jim Stenhouse.
The Foursome is a play by Norm Foster and is one that members of ITT have discussed doing in the past, so the cast and crew are excited they are finally bringing it to life, said Duffy.
Opening night for The Foursome will be April 21, and shows will run on April 28 and May 5 with dinner theatres on April 22, 23, 29, 30, and May 6 and 7.
Cast and crew from the ITT have been working on the new production since January after the wind-up of their successful fall performance The Christmas Express.
