BOWDEN - The latest court date for a 37-year-old Olds woman facing several charges after a high-speed motorcycle chase in Bowden is July 30.

Sherri-Lynn Koch is scheduled to appear in Didsbury provincial court on that date.

She was first slated to appear in court in Okotoks on July 13 in connection with the chase, which occurred July 11 at about  2 a.m.

Police say the motorcycle was later determined to have been stolen in Calgary.

Sherri-Lynn Koch faces nine charges: possession of stolen property, failure to stop for police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to comply with a probation order, failure to remain at the scene of an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle on a highway, operating a motor vehicle without a subsisting driver’s licence, operating an unregistered motor vehicle on a highway and displaying an unauthorized licence plate.

Koch was also found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Camrose.

The incident began when an Olds RCMP officer on patrol in Bowden spotted a woman on a motorcycle commit  what police call “several traffic-related offences.”

A high-speed chase ensued. Eventually the bike crashed while heading south on Highway 2A, still in Bowden.

Koch ran off but was tracked down and arrested with the help of Red Deer Police Dog Services.
