Knee Hill Valley 4-H making a difference

This year, as in previous years, the 4-H system has helped the community. As the years go on the Knee Hill Valley 4-H Beef Club will continue to help. This 4-H club has helped in so many things that it is impossible to keep count.

This year, as in previous years, the 4-H system has helped the community. As the years go on the Knee Hill Valley 4-H Beef Club will continue to help.

This 4-H club has helped in so many things that it is impossible to keep count.

We helped in the Charity Check Stop where each member has to put in an hour of work, either collecting toys or wrapping and separating them for the kids and their families who don't have enough money to buy Christmas presents.

One of the many things that we did recently was Volunteer Appreciation Night where every member had to work for many hours preparing desserts with food and drinks.

Some of the kids who won first in junior, intermediate, and senior got to read their speeches about how volunteer work is good for the community. One of our oldest ones is the annual highway cleanup, an event when every member, including leaders, has to pick up garbage in the highway ditches to help our environment. It might be gross, but there are people whose job is to do that.

We would also like to tell you that we had a success in public speaking this year. We had four people place in zones and one of our juniors moved on to districts, and that's really good for our club and for any club.

I would also want to put out a note that if you come and buy one of our club's steers we will take The more the better for both of us.

We held a show and sale on May 30 at the Innisfail Auction Mart. From the money raised, a percentage will go to the Fort McMurray fire relief fund.
