Innisfail RCMP are off to a busy new year dealing with several break-ins and thefts in communities and the outlying area.

At about 9 a.m. on Jan. 6 police officers were dispatched to a complaint of an overnight break and enter at Penhold's Custom Bulk Services. Innisfail RCMP Sgt. Lori Eiler said about 600 litres of fuel was missing, as well as a generator. RCMP continue to investigate.

Three days later on Jan. 9, Innisfail RCMP were called shortly after 1 p.m. to the Penhold area to investigate a break and enter to a rural gas plant southeast of town. Eiler said unknown individuals broke into the plant and stole some electronic equipment. The police probe continues.

An hour later on the same day, local Mounties were alerted about a stolen enclosed trailer from the Gull Lake area. The enclosed trailer is described as a white 2008 Pure American unit and Pursuit model. The unit was stolen some time between Jan. 1 and 7, said Eiler.

Meanwhile, Innisfail RCMP were called at about 6:15 a.m. on Jan. 10 to investigate a break and enter and theft at the local Esso outlet. Eiler said the burglary occurred sometime overnight. Two unknown males gained entry and damaged and stole a number of items, said Eiler, adding the investigation into this incident is also continuing.

If any citizen has information about any of these crimes, he or she is asked to contact Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3342 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or by Internet at www.tipsubmit.com
