There is now a full slate of members for the town's Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Advisory Board.

At town council's regular meeting on Nov. 14, council approved Bud Sargent and Dianne Mainville to the board. The approved appointments now give the board a full slate of six members, including council representative Doug Bos.

Sargent is a longtime town resident and current chaplain at the Bowden Institution, and padre for the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion. Mainville is the president of the Catholic Women's League, and sits on the parish council of Our Lady of Peace Church. She is also on the church's refugee committee.

In late October, the board also received two other approved new members – local parent Carla Kanak and Ella Brekke, a child care consultant for the Innisfail Family Day Home Society.

The FCSS board's mandate is to make funding recommendations to town council for community social programs. Council has the legislative authority to make all final decisions on granting.
