Newspaper has contingency plan

The Innisfail Province has a contingency plan in place for distribution of newspapers in the event of a postal disruption.

The Innisfail Province has a contingency plan in place for distribution of newspapers in the event of a postal disruption.

“If there is a Canada Post strike or lockout in upcoming weeks, rest assured the Innisfail Province and its second section, the Mountain View Gazette, will still be distributed as we know how important the newspaper is to our readers,” said Innisfail Province publisher Brent Spilak.

Distribution of the Innisfail Province within the towns and communities of Innisfail, Markerville, Bowden and Penhold would not be affected by Canada Post. The Province employs a dedicated team of carriers to deliver the newspaper in these communities.

For readers outside those communities in the rural areas who receive their newspaper through Canada Post, the Innisfail Province will be increasing the number of copies available at 40 store locations throughout its distribution area where readers can pick up their copies.

Please see the advertisement on page 10 of this week's issue for exact locations.

Street vending boxes may also be placed strategically in some areas.

The Innisfail Province can also be read online through our e-edition at www.innisfailprovince.ca.
