INNISFAIL – It was a night to remember for businesses in Innisfail and the region.

The best of the best came home with nine awards at the 2024 Innisfail & District Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Innisfail Business Awards held on Oct. 29 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104 in Innisfail.

For the first time, three awards included the best from Bowden, Penhold and Red Deer County.

Chamber president Blaine Staples said there was a record number of nominations of about 180 for the eight main awards.

“I think bringing in the outside communities where they haven't had these awards before was probably a big factor, but it seems people just caught their fancy and they really got involved,” said Staples. “We got the nominations out a little earlier this year. Maybe that helped.”
