Innisfail Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram recently celebrated its first anniversary.
To mark the occasion, the local business held a $15,000 grand prize draw, which was open to those who purchased a vehicle between May 1 and Aug. 2.
This year's lucky winner was Innisfailian Kim Bellerose.
“This is the first time I've won anything,” said Bellerose. “It's unreal. The only word I can say is unreal.”
Bellerose, 24, has lived in Innisfail all her life and bought a 2016 Jeep Patriot sport edition in early June. She had her name drawn for the grand prize on Aug. 2.
Just days after her lucky win, Bellerose already had plans for some of the prize money. “I'm planning on heading to Montreal around Halloween to visit friends,” she said.
Bill Curtis, the dealership's general manager, said the draw has now become a regular feature held every year - last year to celebrate their initial opening date and now the first anniversary. The intent is to show the dealership's appreciation and to thank customers for their loyalty and business, said Curtis.
“This is the second time we've given away $15,000,” said Curtis. “It's to say thank you for helping us for a year. The first year in business is always a challenge, especially in these economic times,” he added, noting the company's success in the past year has exceeded expectations.
“We've been quite successful and we wanted to give something back.”
Bellerose said she's enjoying her new vehicle and is more than happy to have chosen Innisfail Chrysler, Dodge Jeep Ram for her purchase.
“I've had the greatest experience with these guys here,” said Bellerose. “It couldn't have gone better. The prize money just tops it off.”
