Central Alberta Catholic youth will be getting a helping hand from Innisfail's Our Lady of Peace Church.
On Nov. 15, the parish will be hosting a trade show to raise funds for Canada's first Western Canadian Catholic Youth Conference (WCCYC). Father Tom Puslecki, the conference's co-director, and trade show organizer Bertha Lamont are looking to have 20 vendors to make the show a success and a monthly event.
“The conference will be taking place October 2 to 4 (2015) in Red Deer,” said Puslecki. “Youth from across Western Canada will be coming to, Come! In! Stay! To make it a success we need to raise funds to help us with our first event.
“Innisfail will be a big part of the weekend with many sponsors helping us with donations,” he added. “This is just one way to involve the community.”
The trade show will take place in the parish hall from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
