Hundreds of visitors came out to enjoy the second day of the 2019 Asparagus Festival at Edgar Farms on Sunday (June 2). The annual festival takes place over three consecutive Sundays - May 26, June 2 and June 9 and runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Warm weather and sunny skies welcomed hundreds of visitors to the annual Asparagus Festival at Edgar Farms, just west of Innisfail on Sunday (June 2). The festival will wrap up its final day next Sunday on June 9.

Hundreds of visitors came out to enjoy the second day of the 2019 Asparagus Festival at Edgar Farms on Sunday (June 2).

The annual festival takes place over three consecutive Sundays - May 26, June 2 and June 9 and runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on each of those days.

People from all over the province including  Calgary, Sylvan Lake, Red Deer, and Innisfail enjoyed family friendly activities such as face painting, kids play area, wagon rides, artisan vendors, a farmers market, homemade baking, food trucks, the Edgar Farms Country Store, and tempura fried asparagus by local chef Matt Burton.
