BOWDEN - There was lots of action during this year’s Bowden Bonanza Daze.
The four-day event kicked off with a barrel racing jackpot on July 25, followed by a team roping jackpot and a kickoff party on July 26.
The annual parade was held Saturday morning with rodeo action back at the rodeo grounds later in the day.
A special Canadian Pro Rodeo Association event was held during this year’s Bonanza Daze.
A Saskatchewan cowboy came out on top during the Canadian Pro Rodeo Association Bareback Challenge.
Regina’s Ty Taypotat’s average between the two go-rounds was 166.5 points, netting him a payout of $1,919.10.
Kody Lamb and Jacob Stemo tied for second place with 166 points earning them $1,422.80 each.
Colin Adams placed next with 165.5 points and a payout of $926.46, while Cole Goodine and Pascal Isabelle followed with 164.5 points and $595.58, and 164 points and $330.88 respectively.
Other events held during the weekend included extreme motocross demonstrations, mutton busting, wild pony races, kids' games and activities along with a cabaret.
