Shoplifters make off with $500 Bieber poster
Parents of Justin Bieber fans may want to look twice at their children's collection of Bieber paraphernalia. Around 8 p.m. Jan. 6 three youth ó two boys and one girl, entered Shoppers Drug Mart at Henday Centre and stole a large promotional poster of the 17-year-old teen heartthrob. The store was still open and witnesses saw the three tweens run out of the store with it. The poster is worth $500. Police are asking anyone who knows the whereabouts of the Biebs image to return it to the store.
1,000 plus litres of fuel stolen
Two oil drilling sites were broken into within a day of one another just outside of Innisfail. Sometime overnight Jan. 10 a rural rig site near Rge. Rd. 12 north of Highway 587 was broken into. The night of Jan. 11 a site near Rge. Rd. 263 south of Highway 590 was broken into. Locks were broken off of trailers to gain entrance said police. Approximately 1,000 litres of fuel was taken from each site as well as miscellaneous equipment or clothing. Police expect either a slip tank was used to take such a large quantity of fuel or multiple trips were taken. Two men charged for possession
A 19-year-old Sylvan Lake male is facing charges for possession of marijuana after getting pulled over on the QEII near Innisfail Jan 8.
About 10:20 p.m. the individual was pulled over for speeding and was discovered having 66 grams of marijuana.
On Jan. 9 around 3:30 p.m. a 40-year-old male from Edmonton was pulled over in town for having tinted windows. He was charged with possession of seven grams of marijuana.
Utility trailer stolen
A utility trailer was stolen from 49th Avenue sometime between Jan. 6 and 11. The black utility trailer was homemade with a flat deck and belongs to the Innisfail Legion. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Home broken into
A back patio door was pried open at a house on Margodt Close Jan. 6. The owners returned home at the end of the day to see their back door opened. Because there was a stick in the ledge of the door, the individual was not able to gain entrance. Nothing was stolen and no damage was done to the property. The attempted break-in occurred during the day when the owners were at work.
