Break and enter
A condominium complex in Innisfail was broken into via an underground garage between 10 p.m. on June 16 and 10:40 a.m. on June 17.
An extendable trailer hitch and a 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche were taken from the garage. The licence plate for the vehicle is ZJR 511. Inside the vehicle was a 22-calibre gun.
Three mirrors, four dining chairs and three candlesticks were taken from the lobby area.
The vehicle and a suspect were located in Blackfalds on June 18. The gun was not present. There was no information on the rest of the stolen goods.
Stolen vehicles
A few different vehicles were stolen from around Innisfail.
A Dodge Neon that was stolen in Innisfail was recovered in Calgary by the Calgary Police Services.
The vehicle was reported missing on June 15.
A 2005 white Ford F150 truck was taken from the Super 8. The theft was reported on June 17. The vehicle has not been recovered.
A 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe was stolen from a location near the C&E Trail between 8:30 p.m. June 17 and 8:30 a.m. on June 18.
The vehicle has the licence plate 67L 818.
Runaway bovines
On June 17, Innisfail RCMP received a call to assist after a 2,400-pound bull escaped its pen and was heading for the QEII.
The bull escaped near Highway 590 and Rge. Rd. 282.
RCMP officers attended the rural property and were able to safely assist in returning the bull to its pen.
The next night, June 18, RCMP members were called out to an area near Highway 54 and Highway 781 because there were 20 cows on the loose.
The officers assisted a neighbour in corralling the cattle.
Hit and runs
Two different people reported hit and runs on their vehicles between June 14 and June 21.
On June 14, a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox was hit between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. while it was parked at the Innisfail hospital.
Damage was caused to the passenger side rear panel. There are no suspects.
On June 15, a 2009 GMC truck was parked at a construction site in Innisfail. After the morning, the owner noticed the bumper on the driver's side had been hit.
Tires slashed
Tires were slashed on a vehicle left in the G H Auto parking lot on June 15. The incident was reported at 3:30 in the afternoon.
Abandoned auto
RCMP had an SUV that had been left on the side of the QEII towed on June 19.
The vehicle had been abandoned on the northbound side of the highway near the Old Pole Road. There was obvious damage to the front fender. The plates were from B.C. and a letter has been mailed to the registered owner.
Found music player
A lost iPod player was found in a Laebon show home in Innisfail and turned in to the police. It has a gold diamond case and features an alien skull sticker. The player is password protected.
Icy assault
Innisfail RCMP received a complaint from a father that ice had been thrown at his son at around 3:12 p.m. on June 15 from a two-tone blue half-ton truck in Innisfail.
Lost wallet
A man reported he lost his wallet on the Red Deer River on June 16.
Police said the wallet was apparently on top of a cooler when it slid overboard into the water.
