Police search for Red Deer man after collision in Innisfail

INNISFAIL - An Innisfail man has been charged following a collision in town, while RCMP continue to search for a Red Deer man. Earlier this week, police observed two men outside a stolen Chrysler Pacifica and attempted to make an arrest.

INNISFAIL - An Innisfail man has been charged following a collision in town, while RCMP continue to search for a Red Deer man.

Earlier this week, police observed two men outside a stolen Chrysler Pacifica and attempted to make an arrest. Both men fled in the stolen Pacifica and in the process clipped a police officer with the mirror of the vehicle.

The officer was on foot at the time and was not injured. The driver fled at a high rate of speed and collided with a civilian motorist. He continued driving until colliding with an underground parking barricade.

Both men fled from police on foot and after a short pursuit, police located and arrested one of the men.

The driver of the stolen vehicle managed to escape and is currently wanted on numerous warrants for his arrest.

Chase Gordon Donovan 25, of Red Deer is wanted by police on a number of outstanding charges, including, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, assault to resist or prevent arrest, flight from police, failing to stop after an accident, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, four counts of failing to comply with an undertaking or recognizance and operating a motor vehicle while prohibited.

Jesse Bulechowsky 37, of Innisfail has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, resisting arrest, flight from police, failing to stop after an accident, and two counts of failing to comply with conditions.

Bulechowsky was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on September 4.
