Innisfail RCMP are seeking public assistance to help nab three black-clad men in connection to an “ambush” alleyway-stabbing incident.

At about 9:30 p.m. on Oct 28, a lone male arrived at the Innisfail Health Centre with three stab wounds, said local RCMP.

Innisfail RCMP Cpl. Don Morrish said the victim stated while he was walking down the alley near 42nd Street, three males dressed in black “ambushed” him.

A fight ensued and during the altercation the victim was stabbed three times in the lower portion of his body, said Morrish.

He said the man was in close proximity to the Innisfail hospital and was able to walk there under his own power.

Morrish said the first male assailant is described as being Caucasian, between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall and wearing all black clothes, including a tuque and mask. He said the second assailant is believed to be about 6 feet tall, weighing about 210 pounds with short dark hair. Morrish said he was wearing a black coat with a hood and a black bandana to cover his face.

The third suspect is described as being about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds and wearing a tall black toque with the brim rolled up, a black neck warmer pulled up over his mouth and a black coat.

Morrish said Innisfail RCMP continue to investigate. Local Mounties are asking anyone with information about the attack to contact the Innisfail detachment at 403-227-3342.
