“There are a lot of businesses that could be recognized over ours,” said company owner Joan White humbly. “It is very nice to be recognized. We have wonderful customers and support from both town and country.

“And it makes a difference. A fellow said we depend on our ag business. We definitely do,” she added of Baiers Stationery, a full service office supply company located in downtown Innisfail.

The company's success in business growth and sustainability has showed over the years by its many contributions to the community.

White and her staff strongly believe profits do not precede people, and they prove this by giving back to the community at every opportunity.

The respect she and her company have earned, as well as serving all clients – big and small – with equal enthusiasm are key reasons why they continue to prosper in the community, even through the challenging times.

“We tried to price things accordingly. We are not going to retire tomorrow. We do the best we can,” said White, adding it has always been important to her to maintain a special connection to all clients.

“We have seen customers come and go. Some customers pay very, very little amount for very small items,” said White. “But I always say it is the repeat business that counts.”
